Costly Love: A Weekend with John Armstrong
April 27-29, 2018, Greater Dallas, Texas Area
You are Invited! The Meeting Schedule is Set! See Below!
1 John 4:8 states plainly that whoever who does not love, does not know God.
Simple. Stark. Convicting.
How different would Christianity’s historical narrative have been if passion to love one another had matched passion for purity of doctrine and practice? When will believers take 1 John 4:8 and Jesus’ John 17 mandate for oneness seriously beyond sentimental agreement to rhetorical platitudes and “lowest common denominator” ecumenicalism? How could something so simple have gotten so lost for so long? As individuals, what will it take, and what will it cost, to take meaningful action steps toward changing the narrative? This is no easy task. It will require radical adjustment in many areas.
John Armstrong faces this issue head-on in prophetic clarity and charity in his book, Costly Love. As the people of God, and in our civic discourse, our culture is manifesting new lows of incivility. There is not a more timely need than to understand and practice costly love.
John has graciously agreed to be with us April 27-29, 2018 for a weekend of teaching, sharing, and dialogue on this most important and timely issue. We would like to extend and invitation to friends in the greater Dallas, TX metropolitan area (and elsewhere) to join us for a weekend of dialogue with John. We hope the Spirit of the Lord will touch us, break us, renew us, and make us part of the remedy in very practical ways.
